In the recent SEMICON SEA 2023 show in PENANG, Mr. Kelvin Ho, Senior Director of Business Development, spent 30 mins to deliver a presentation on the changing business landscape, how it is affecting the semiconductor market and also ASE Malaysia’s strategy to meet the demands of these changes.
“The current business landscape is changing. South East Asia is experiencing a resurgence in the semiconductor market,” he said during the opening of his presentation, “Penang saw a record year of investment is 2021 related to the manufacturing industry.”
The event saw a huge crowd turning up at the ASE Booth to listen to the presentation.
He further says, “ASE Malaysia is embarking on a journey of transformation. In addition to 2 new factories currently under construction to meet the demands of added capacity, the buildings with be equipped and integrated with ASE’s SMART factory system known as Computer Integrated Manufacturing. It will not be an upgrade. It will be the next generation. It will be an evolution. Automation driven by AI is the future of manufacturing to meet stricter demands for quality and cost.”
