ASEM is thrilled to announce our latest milestone - the inauguration of ASE Malaysia’s 4th Plant and the opening of the visitor centre, on January 16, 2024.
In November 2022, ASE Global announced a USD300 million investment over 5 years to expand the ASE Malaysia facility, doubling production space to 2 million square feet. With the completion of Plant 5 underway, ASEM will continue to focus on high-volume packaging products like copper clip and image sensors, with plans to develop capabilities for advanced packaging technologies. The sparkling new visitor centre is now ready to host customers, support supplier and partner engagement, and drive greater collaboration and innovation.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Kwai Mun Lee, President of ASE Southeast Asia, and the Senior Management team of ASEM, Mr. Ooi Heng Ee, Ms. Choong Lai Heng, Mr. Choo Boon Teng, Mr. Kelvin Liu. The momentous day unfolded with a spectacular agenda, featuring a traditional lion dance, auspicious pineapple rolling, commemorative plaque signing and a meaningful tree planting event as part of ASEM’s Green initiative.
The opening of the visitor centre symbolizes the incredible journey of ASEM since 1991, marking a new era of transformation and excellence.
