ASE Malaysia was honoured to have Penang’s Deputy Chief Minister II, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, visit us on 26th February 2024. The agenda started with an introduction on ASE Malaysia’s company profile, known for having the only Class 10 cleanroom IC packaging environment in Penang, followed by a strategic meeting with stakeholders of Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC) to discuss matters pertaining to Education, Science and Technology.

Penang recorded RM35.8 billion in approved manufacturing foreign direct investments (FDI), marking a 634% year-on-year surge, making it the highest contributor with 39% share amongst all States in Malaysia. This has enabled Penang to be recognised as the top FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) Contributor in Manufacturing and ASE Malaysia is proud to be a part of this contribution.

The General Manager of ASE Malaysia, HE Ooi, also commented that ASE Malaysia is committed to enhancing our portfolio and continue to invest in automation and smart manufacturing to meet and fulfil the needs of the industry.

The day ended with a visit to ASE Malaysia’s new Plant 4 and Visitor Centre. YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, was amazed with the infrastructure and façade. To commemorate this special occasion, ASE Malaysia gifted Mr. Jagdeep a plaque and photo. As we move forward together, ASE Malaysia continues to collaborate closely with the key industry players.
