After 30 years of dedicated service to ASEM, it is with regret that Mr HE Ooi will be leaving the Company and relinquishing his position as General Manager of Penang site. We thank him for his immeasurable contributions and leadership and wish him success in his future endeavour.
Following Mr HE Ooi’s departure, Mr Kelvin Liu, BU VP, is promoted to General Manager of ASE Malaysia effective 11 September 2024.
Kelvin Liu has been with ASEM for 7 years leading the Cu Clip, Memory and CIS BU. During this period of time, he has displayed exemplary management, strong technical knowledge and operational excellence. Prior to joining ASEM, Kelvin Liu has held various managerial positions in MNCs such as Plexus, Flextronics, Foxconn/Hon Hai taking charge of a wide spectrum of customers and programs.
On 11th September, Mr HE Ooi and Mr Kelvin Liu started their journey at midnight on the Indonesian Bromo route towards the vantage point of Mount Penanjakan and arrived just in time to experience the sunrise. Against the backdrop of the majestic volcano, HE handed over the reins of ASE Malaysia to Kelvin, marking a significant milestone for both gentlemen and the beginning of an exciting chapter for ASEM.
