In March 1997, ASE Test Limited, the world’s largest independent integrated Circuit Testing house acquired 100 % equity interest in ASE Malaysia.

ASE Malaysia serves a large customer base in the communications, computing, industrial and automotive markets.

Through highly automated manufacturing processes and state-of-the-art equipment, we have developed capabilities to assemble and test packages such as QFPs, TQFPs, BGAs, SOICs, SOJs, PDIPs and Flip Chip.

ASE Malaysia obtained ISO 9002 & QS 9000, certifications from NV Kema (Holland) in April 1993 & June 1998 respectively and ISO 14001 certification from SIRIM in October 1999.

Revenue has grown from USD 1.5 million in 1992 to USD 302 million in 2004

ASE Test (Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Test) owns 70% of International Semiconductor Engineering Laboratories (ISE labs). ISE Labs is Silicon Valley's largest integrated circuit testing laboratory offering a full spectrum of services related to the front-end and back-end manufacturing of ICs.

ISE LABS Singapore is an offshore production testing extension of ISE labs, San Jose. With close proximity to other ASE sites in Asia, ISE LABS Singapore utilizes the synergy to provide total turnkey solution from early entry in the IC design cycle to full integrated services of test development, wafer sort and package testing.
